About Pack 12
Pack 12 is a Cub Scout pack based in Tomball, Texas, chartered by Lakewood Methodist Church. We serve families across the Tomball area — our scouts come from many local schools, including homeschool and charter families.
Our mission
We’re here to help kids become curious, capable, kind people who know how to work as a team and take care of the world around them. We do that the way scouting has done it for over a century: by spending time outside, working on real skills, and giving kids meaningful responsibilities at every age.
Our charter organization
Pack 12 is chartered by Lakewood Methodist Church, which means the church sponsors and supports our pack. We’re grateful for their long partnership. The pack is open to families of any faith background or none — chartering organizations across scouting include churches, civic groups, schools, and more, and they don’t dictate the membership.
Where we meet
Most pack meetings happen at Lakewood Methodist Church. Den meeting locations are set by individual den leaders and may vary. Specific dates, times, and locations live on our calendar.
How the pack is led
Pack 12 is run by parent volunteers. Our leadership team includes:
- Cubmaster — runs pack meetings and is the main point of contact for families
- Committee Chair — leads the committee that handles the pack’s administration, finances, and planning
- Den Leaders — one per den, runs the den’s meetings and adventures
- Committee members — handle popcorn fundraising, advancement tracking, recruitment, treasury, and other behind-the-scenes work

Our values
Everything we do is grounded in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. The Cub Scout motto is “Do Your Best” — a reminder that scouting isn’t about being best, it’s about giving your honest effort.

Our council and district
Pack 12 is part of the Sam Houston Area Council, which serves scouting units across the Greater Houston region. Council provides training, camp facilities, and large-scale events that pull together multiple packs and troops.

Pack 12 only works because parents show up. If your family is registered with us, there’s a place for you on the team — whether that’s leading a den, helping at one event a year, or anything in between. Talk to the Cubmaster about where you’d like to plug in.
